BRONCHITIS 101

There are some things that you can not escape when it comes to getting to know me. I have allergies and I usually get really sick in March. I have for the last 3 years had bronchitis. Didn't know much about it other than it sucked, so trying to stay up so that my medication will have time to digest before I go BACK to bed, I found some info for everyone. My brother-in-law has it too and I guess pneumonia comes next so watch out people!

Chronic bronchitis is most frequently caused by long term irritation of the bronchial tubes. Bronchitis caused by allergies can also be classified as chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis is caused most often by exposure to airborne pollutants such as cigarette smoke, excessive dust in the air, or chemicals. The bronchial lining becomes inflamed and the constant exposure to such pollutants begins to cause damage in the bronchioles (the smaller airways in the lungs).

Nice.

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes, the part of the respiratory system that leads into the lungs. Acute bronchitis has a sudden onset and usually appears after a respiratory infection, such as a cold, and can be caused by either a virus or bacteria. The infection inflames the bronchial tubes, which causes symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, wheezing, and the production of thick yellow mucus. If acute bronchitis occurs because of a bacterial infection antibiotics are given for the treatment. Otherwise if the infection is viral medications can only be given to alleviate the symptoms. Although acute bronchitis is relatively common, some people are more prone to it than others.

My symptoms:
fever....CHECK
cough... CHECK
sore throat... CHECK
production of thick yellow mucus... CHECK CHECK!

Thanks to Trish and Jamaica for covering all week at work, Kristen for bringing me movies that I wish I could stay awake long enough to watch, and Julie and Colls for letting me quarantine myself in our house...sorry if you get it even after sterilizing everything every time I go back to bed.

MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!

We watched 14 basketball games this last week LIVE during the MWC Tournament in Vegas. Michael and I picked my Dad up on Tuesday night at the airport and then watched basketball until Saturday night! Here are a few pictures from the trip!

My Dad met some old college buddies down at the tournament. Here we are at the HaufBrau House having some German dinner!

My dad and his buddies at the Wyoming game that we won against New Mexico, it is a BLAST to be there when they win!But...it's painful when they lose. They lost to Utah the next night and let's just say Utah played good but they didn't have to! My dad spotted this lady out in the crowd going crazy about Wyoming trying to get everyone up and cheer. She stood up the whole time and my dad finally asked her, WHO are YOU!? She said "I'm the Coach's wife!" She was cheering really hard but she was not happy when they lost.

Michael and I got a little bored at the Wyoming game against Utah actually, it was the only game we got bored during including all the women's games.

Michael had a blast cheering the fight songs but the C-O-W-B-O-Y-S was his favorite! He converted to Utah in the Finals because both the boys and girls were playing and won the championships! He bought a red Utah shirt with his last pennies too!

Thank you so much Dad we had a BLAST!
You have great friends too I was happy that you were having a great time with them as well!
Michael was so much fun too we rode the New York NY rollercoaster for his first time and it was AWESOME! (He also barfed all over our bed the second night which was not so awesome.)
GO POKES!
MISS MYA AND HER GRANDPA

Mya wasn't very sure about Grandpa when he first got to her house. She warmed up in the morning but really warmed up when we went to Fiesta Fun. Mya hasn't been feeling very well (if any of you are in that same boat raise your hand LIKE ME) and so she crashed and was cuddling with Grandpa pretty good. When we got home she did some more bonding with him over Cheerios and the sippy cup.

SHE LOVES HER GRANDPA!

To all my LDS friends

I don't want to bring up anything about what is going on with HBO but I do want to bring this statement up and hope that it gives some direction to your thoughts and feelings towards the inappropriate and selfish acts of others concerning our sacred beliefs...

Please don't support this at all with researching or watching the series.
Remember who you are and Who you represent! Stand (sit, think, ponder, speak, browse) in holy places!
I'm never watching HBO or maybe even any television series again.
PINEWOOD DERBY 2009
"A Woman Scorned"
A couple weeks ago a sign up sheet went around with the guys names in our branch on it, we as the girls in the Branch were supposed to sign up next to a guys name and then we were going to make Pinewood Derby cars together for a race combined with another ward! I signed up with Bart, he's a deisel mechanic and I was sure if anyone was going to win and have a cool looking car it was going be Bart! AND WE WON! Well we won SECOND place...
Here I am with Jana on our second race!
Bart and I taking a brake from graphiting the wheels!

Semi final race!

2nd Place goes to Jen Frahm and Bart Richins and their unbelievable car "A Woman Scorned"!
I wasn't there when Bart named and registered our car but I think he did a pretty good job!

Bart actually spent the most time on the car. I sanded a little and then we spray painted it blue and put yellow wheels on it then...Bart took it home! He spent a lot of time on it and so when it came to the final race he wanted second place so that he was still elligible for the best paint job award. Bart was sad when the first 3 places couldn't win other prizes but we were the judges favorite they just had to give the award to someone else! Bart kept the car and he let me have the trophy, it fits nicely in my purse!

HAPPY FRIDAY...SERIOUSLY?
Most people are grateful that it is Friday and I am usually. I got the usual visit this morning from a rep that has Fridays available to bring in his business. I appreciate him, he's a nice guy. BUT, he comes in gives me some apps and says that a friend of his came in with him the other week and he thinks that I'm cute. (I don't know how to explain while typing the action where you stick your finger down your throat like you are gagging yourself but go ahead and imagine me doing that right here) SO I told him that I wasn't that interested in blind dates and actually to be honest in dating anyone right now. I talked with him a little about this friend, of course he's divorced which is fine but I'm always first in everyone's mind when that is part of the situation. I asked what went wrong with the friend's marriage, well his ex-wife was spending all his money and not taking care of their kids. Kids... so how many kids do they have...2 ... HOW OLD? 18 AND 20! HOW OLD IS THIS GUY?....44! AHHH! I said I'M 26! He continued the degradation with OH I thought you were older than that! HOW MUCH OLDER!!! Oh my gosh, if I were even 34 that leaves me ten years younger! DO I LOOK 34!!!! SERIOUSLY! SERIOUSLY!?!?!

So then he asks AGAIN... can I give him your number so he can just take you out to dinner sometime? ...

NNOOOOOOOOOOOO you can't!

It was awful, who does that to someone at 10 o'clock in the morning! SERIOUSLY!

To brighten my day, this morning Becky's kids came in to the office with diapers strapped on their heads, they are 2 and 4. They said "Happy Diaper Hat Day"! It was SO funny and her kids are so cute!
I thought that this look might be good for me maybe the over 40's will stop looking!
Then The New Kids On the Block (the new punk group in our building next door) brought in a puppy today with their kids. It's been a fun morning...I'm going to go eat.

THAT ROTTEN BA...CHELOR! Laugh it up now girls cause everyone is going to be in tears in the end of this one ESPECIALLY Jason!!
This Bachelor season was good until in the doozie of a finale, Jason shows that he is just like every other man and has NO idea what he wants! Typical man...he dumped Molly (on his left) and went with Melissa as the winner (to his right). She turned out to be a chemistry lacking grouch so he dumped her for the formally dumped Molly! AND STUPID MOLLY SAID YES!!! Seriously?!

So NO surprise that the only real winner is Jillian (far left) who now gets to choose from 25 different morons!
This comment was online after the finale of The Bachelor... and I feel the same...
"I honestly could not believe my eyes, watching that circus. I mean...do people have NO shame? To have these kinds of personal things televised? What have we come to? On the one hand, great drama to watch...on the other, I feel dirty for even participating." – PetuniaP

EASILY ENTERTAINED...

Mya was at our house for a few hours last weekend so that Jamaica Daniel Michael and Haleigh could go shooting. She had a great old time in my room and in Julie's room going through everything! It kept her entertained for the majority of the time.

Mya unloads my books and my basket, BUT she is totally standing up by herself AWESOME...

Mya loves suckers even if she can't get them unwrapped. This one has Mickey Mouse on it...

and the POST IT notes kept her busy for a long time!
