She's an important part of TOFW because she really is just one of us. Hilary is a wife and a mother first and foremost; being a brilliant performer is secondary. She's funny and witty but has depth and substance as she shares her testimony of Jesus Christ through her songs.

A Matter of Principles

"Teach them correct principles and they govern themselves." A clearer understanding of this amazing truth provides a certainty for life that is hard to match. What are "correct principles"? How are they best taught? What impact do these principles have on us? Chieko has 82 years of experience learning and living correct principles, and she has much to share to help you implement this powerful concept in your life and the lives of those you love.

Emily Watts Senior editor for Deseret Book Company; author, Take Two Chocolates and Call Me in the Morning and Confessions of an Unbalanced Woman

How Can I Know If I’m Getting it Right?

The fruits of motherhood are so agonizingly slow to ripen, it's hard to tell from day to day if the kids are going to "turn out right." Your child can be screaming her head off one moment and singing sweetly to her baby doll the next. (And no, that doesn't mean you've messed her up!) Emily has a message that assurance comes from knowing that Father in Heaven actually does trust us to raise His children. And He trusts us because He's with us every step of the way.

Mary Ellen Edmunds Former director of training, Missionary Training Center; former faculty, College of Nursing, Brigham Young University; author, Love Is a Verb, Peculiar In a Good Way, and MEE Speaks: But Does She Have Anything to Say?

Rest Assured!

Mary Ellen is sharing her new "Life Assurance Policy" and it's included as part of your weekend registration! There is nothing to buy, no premiums to pay...and wait until you see the benefits. The policy doesn't end at death and you'll be happy to know there is no physical exam required. Not ever! You just need to participate in some regular "self-checks" of the heart and soul. And with Mary Ellen's refreshing approach to life, you'll welcome the opportunity to sign up.

Emily Freeman Writer and songwriter; author, 21 Days Closer to Christ and Woman at the Well

Living the Abundant Life

When you think of an "abundant life," do you think of it as something you arrive at or something you create for yourself? Too many of us get caught up in saying "someday my life will be..." when really we can have that life NOW. Through her own personal journey proactively seeking a more abundant life, Emily shares three principles that will help you find your own. Don't wait for "someday"; discover that life today.

The Uncensored Truth About Pornography

Because women are impacted by pornography in unique and profound ways, we play an indispensable role in the fight against it. And there are definitely no substitutes for righteous women in this effort! Arming ourselves with certain truths and resources is vital in thwarting pornography's influence in our homes and relationships. Although the statistics are daunting, we can be assured that pornography cannot win, in light of Who and what is on our side.

TARA T-IZZLE

One of my favorite people in my life is Tara Sullivan! She is so much fun and we have such a great spiritual connection! I met Tara when she decided to reactivate herself in the church and had called the RS President, Amanda, in our branch. I'm the 1st counselor and so I went with Amanda to meet Tara. She was sorta grouchy when we met her :) HA HA HA! I could tell that she really needed the gospel in her life and that she had been struggling with her situation. She came to church and did not miss a Sunday for like over a year now! She is amazing. She has overcome so much!
This summer she decided to start preparing to go through the temple! I got to go to temple prep with her for the last couple months and then she just went through the STG Temple on Saturday! It was SO much fun and so great to see her so happy and I know that she knows that the gospel is true and perfect. It was great that she was going through by herself. She wasn't getting married, or going on a mission, so she could relax and take it all in! She did so great!
It was also fun to be in the temple with Jimmy's mom Cathy. I had a REALLY bad mother-in-law experience when I was married before so I am so grateful that Cathy is so wonderful. I love her! She is so sweet and caring. She wants me to love and take care of Jimmy and is letting me do that! I love it! She had been teaching, until this year, at the same school as Tara so they are really good friends! And if you remember, Cathy was at church listening to Tara's first RS lesson and that's how they hooked Jimmy and I up! Jimmy and Tara were born on the exact day too in the same hospital and everything!

Lacey, Melissa, Becca, Annice, Tara, Amanda, Me, Cathy, Colleen and Janet!

When I first moved in with Colleen, Shauna was our other roommate for about a month before Jules moved in. Shauna was at the temple down from Provo and was in the same session as Tara. It was fun to see her again!
Melissa, Kaci, Tara, Cathy, Becca and Me!

Tara's sweet family took us to lunch at the Pizza Factory after! Thanks so much Tara for letting me be a part of your experience! I love you and am so proud of you and your righteous desires and decisions that are not easy but ALWAYS worth it!

Miss Mya is still just killin' me with how fun she is! She loves to put my sunglasses on but has to have them upside down. She also came in with Jamaica this morning and answered the phone a couple times for us :) She's so stinking' fun!

I keep on forgetting to metion me and Elizabeth and Cathy's Tuesday night "homemaking/crafting" nights! The first week I was invited Elizabeth made caramels and they were divine! This last week she wanted to make peach pie! She is the cutest cook and is going to be such a great mom! She's due in November and they are going to name her Emma! I love her and Matt, they are crazy, random, and so much fun!

I wanted to make this peach pie at her house but I read the directions and it needed to be cooled in the fridge overnight so I decided to make it the day before so we could just eat it. It is a peaches and cream pie. Elizabeth's pie was so fresh and sweet and I LOVED it so much more than mine! Good job Elizabeth can't wait to do bows tomorrow!!
