Dear Jimmy L

Hey so my name is Jen and I met your sweet mom Cathy at our singles branch on Sunday with Tara Sullivan. Well, they apparently met for lunch this week and were talking about you and then I entered conversation and now you are blog stalking me! :) (totally kidding)
Thought this might be more productive! 435-272-2021 ;)

SWIMMING PRACTICE

I got switched to enrichment in the Relief Society a month or so ago and this is my first real project...swim lessons!

I separated the girls into groups so we have the Guppies, Barracudas, StarFish, Paranhas, and the ClownFish!

From my first group Tara and Colleen are progressing so fast with their technique!

Tara is so much fun, she took my place in the RS Presidency with the teachers and it's so much fun to serve with her! She is doing great with her FLIP TURNS!

Colleen is my cousin/roommate and she is not known for her athletic ability but she is an AWESOME swimmer!

I was really having fun with Kris during our last practice! She loves the water and does not love the deep end. She was the most nervous in the deep end! We over came so much in that practice and I got her going under water for 3 seconds! She came up to me at today's practice and told me that she wanted to make sure she told me thank you for helping her not be afraid to go under water cause the next day she went to the city pool and got caught under water after going on the hydro tube slide. She was grateful to me that I helped her and she was so grateful that I spend the time with her

Tina and Melissa are truly the funnest girls! Tina is a water baby and is constantly all over the place in the pool just loving it. Melissa has the BEST kick and they are so positive and just great swimmers! Amanda is scared of the deep end, last week we tried to venture over there but it was a no go. Today we made real progress with sticking her head in the water and she hung out with her kick board in the deep end.
Annice is recovering from foot surgery and we are having so much fun making progress with her. She swam the whole length of the pool today!

I love these girls! I am so proud of their progess. It brings me so much JOY to be able to serve them and see them overcome their fears or insecurities. They then are gaining confidence and courage in the pool and are becoming great swimmers and enjoying it!

KEEP IT UP GIRLS!

OQUIRRH MOUNTAIN TEMPLE
Open House

Jamaica and Julie headed up to Wyoming to hang with our parents/family for the week. I went with them as far as SLC and then they headed on to WYO! We went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house in the morning before they left. Yes Jamaica and I are wearing the same skirt... not planned... not thrilled about it :)

Sam met us at the temple to go through and then he had to go to Kaysville. I ADORE SAM! He's just so positive and isn't afraid to criticize me and set me straight! Julie continued to fall head over heels for him :) Thanks for coming Sammy!

BRENT'S BBQ Thanks to Brent for the BBQ on Sunday! I had so much fun with Tara and Keena and the food was great! Brent's yard is beautiful and his house is so nice!
Thanks Brent let's do it again!

WHAT THE... I ran to WalMart and by my work this morning and on my way home I looked in my rear view mirror and saw... what the.....!
So I grabbed my camera (you should always have a camera handy just in case) and caught a couple videos for anyone who is wondering "huh...I wonder what it's like to be Jen?!" and yes that is my "oh my gosh I can't believe there are clowns driving by me right now"...laugh

MARVELOUS MARV
Marvelous Marv is our landlord and he is a great old man. He reminds us constantly that our townhouse that we rent from him is his and his wife's retirement money so of course we take extra good care of it. He is so marvelous because usually every Friday morning at 8am he comes over to mow the lawn! This week he must have been busy on Friday cause he came over Saturday morning at 7AM to mow! YOU RULE Marvelous Marv! Thanks for all you do! We do have a beautiful lawn!
LITTLE LEAGUE!
My nephew Michael is 11 and played his first season of little league this year. The tournament started this week and they won their first game wednesday and then lost last night

Michael struck out with three pitches that doesn't happen in little league! and the umpire sucked, he was 16.

Michael was a little bummed...

but he rehydrated and got over it...

Michael's best bud and neighbor Austin was up and got a great hit! GO AUSTIN!

Michael cheering Austin on!

The last batter was up and they had 2 outs. I saw Michael on the bench like this and asked him if he was nervous and he just nodded...
He kept peeking through the holes in his mit to watch the last batter.

TJ struck out too and we lost. The boys are so funny listen to their dugout talk. I love the coach too, he's way too optimistic and encouraging for me! :)

MISS MYA TRICKS
Julie and I like to keep Mya entertained at Michael's baseball games Mya is so smart here is what we have been teaching her
Julie of course is teaching her to talk on her phone constantly and listen to good music. Mya has learned the Mya Wiggle dance all on her own

I have taught her "puppy" which is sometimes used when appropriate but usually everything is a "puppy".
I have taught her to blow kisses, every time she leaves the office she says goodbye so we have been working on kisses.

Jamaica is teaching her where her belly button is!
Jamaica has of course taught her "Patty Cake" and "This Little Piggy"

The crowd has taught her how to scream for Michael's little league baseball team! Go Angels!
